My interpreting and translation services are billed according to the applicable provisions of the German Judicial Remuneration and Compensation Act (JVEG §§ 9, 11). Below you will find a general overview of my pricing. For an exact quote, feel free to contact me directly.

Translation Services

Translations are charged by the standard line, as defined by law: One standard line = 55 characters including spaces

Pricing:
  • Simple texts (e.g., Word documents): from €1.95 per line
  • Legal or technical texts: from €2.15 per line

All certified translations include:

  • Official stamp and signature
  • Unique file number
  • Archiving in my database (to verify authenticity or prevent misuse)

Note: Any attempt to forge or misuse my certified translations will be reported and prosecuted under applicable laws.

Interpreting Services
  • Rate: €93 per hour
  • Billing: Every 30 minutes commenced is billed
  • Applies equally to simultaneous and consecutive interpreting

There is no difference in cost for simultaneous interpreting. This rate also applies to telephone or video interpreting sessions (e.g., via Skype or Zoom)

Travel & Additional Costs
  • Travel expenses and daily allowances are billed separately
  • Charges are based on state or federal compensation regulations (depending on location)
  • If a second interpreter is required, this is arranged without additional agency fees
